Revisions
When it comes to with the creating of anything it is a conversation between all parties involved to narrow down into the what it is that the initial presented idea was looking to convey. In my 003_April writings I went over the more of the general flow of staging projects. In this I look to dive deeper into how those conversations take place and provide an example.
In many cases, how best the communication is presented is how well the end result is displayed.
I was given the wonderful opportunity to work with a photographer I admire on a commission of their works. Together we’ve been able to make decisions that best suit the works.
With any project reference and a general idea is presented, as well as a goal. The goal presented? Make a gallery that must have two sections, one for the active monthly displays and the other for archived pieces of the year.
With initial refencing we now needed to design the space itself fitting the requirements of the goal set forth,

Design hurdles for what fits both aesthetics, as well as functionality takes time and consideration in problem solving. Sketching and quick visualizations are key into sifting through what feels correct with any given project.

After establishing a rough shape, new decisions on the style and feel are then next. Here is how the initial staging of the displayed works and spacing of various elements were presented.

It's a good idea to keep in mind the use of a reference scale
As we get closer to defining the what we will make adjustments to better suit the feeling it sometimes feels indecisive or unsure all of these are required in pursuit of what does feel correct.

When it comes to interior design especially multiple factors in terms of material, layers, line of sight, and lighting take precedent.
Changing one element significantly adjusts how the feel of a space is and must be taken into account

New ideas will take hold and implementation will require new decisions to be made and time committed to those changes.
Whether or not they are used or utilizes comes down to the parties involved agreeing upon the direction.
